Is Greetinghub's e-card service really free?
Absolutely! There are no charges, hidden costs, or gimmicks associated with sending or receiving one of our electronic greeting cards.

How do I create a card to send to my friends and family?
It's easy! Just go to our site at www.greetinghub.com. Then click on a card you would like to view.
Once you have found the card you would like to send, you need to carefully enter your personalized information in the fields on the page.

Recipient's name: Enter the name (not the email address) of the person you are sending the card to.
Recipient's email address: Make sure to enter a complete email address (for example, fred@somewhere.com).
Your name: Enter your name only (not your email address).
Your email address: Enter your complete email address (for example, alice@overhere.com).

You may use the message field and other options to customize your greeting card. You must move your cursor to each field to add text to it. The text/message field is not limited in size, although you should be aware when using the Fancy Text option the page will become slow to load if the message is too large. When you have finished entering your message, select the "PREVIEW" button.

On the next page, select the radio button at the bottom of your page if you would like to send this card "Now" or if you would like us to "Send it Later" if you choose the "Send it Later" option you must select the Date that you would like us to send your card. You may also choose to be notified when the ecard has been picked up by the Recipient buy "checking" the check box.

You can make any desired changes to your card by selecting the "Back" button or send it by clicking the "SendGreetingCard" button.

The "Thank you" page indicates that our computers have successfully created your card and sent notification to your recipient's email address. You will also have the ability to view the card yourself, Choose to send the same card again to another person, or select a new card to send.

How will I know if my card was received?

Greetinghub can send an email notification to you when your recipient actually views the card you sent. All you need to do is enter your correct email address when you create the card, and check the box that says "Please notify me when the recipient views this card" when you Preview your card.

How long does it take for cards to be sent?
An email notification will be sent to your recipient immediately, and the card will be available for viewing on the Internet immediately.

How do I view (pick up) my card?
First, try double-clicking on the card URL (address) you received in the email notification we sent you. The address looks like this:
http://www.greetinghub.com/cards/abc2abcdefghij.html

If that does not work, try copying and pasting the card address into the location window at the top of your web browser.

You can also go to our electronic greeting card pickup page at:
www.greetinghub.com/cards Copy and paste the I.D. of your electronic greeting card from your email notification.

If you can't copy and paste, you may have to enter the whole card address into the location window at the top of your web browser. (Note that there should be no spaces or upper case letters in the address.) Please be careful, if you mix up digits, you will not be able to access your card

Why can't I send a card?
The most common reason for this is an invalid or incorrect email address in the "Recipient's email address" field. Make sure you enter a complete email address (for example, thesmiths@home.com) in the address field.

Also, do not include brackets or quotes around the email address. Sometimes users enter an address that is valid, but has a typo in it that makes it someone else's address. Make sure the address is correct!

Another possible explanation is that yours or your recipient's Internet Service Provider is
overloaded with traffic or down. In this case you can try to send the card again later.

Why wasn't my card delivered? or Why can I send a person regular email, but I can't send them a card??
If you are sure the address is correct, and you can send the person regular email, but you still can't send them our cards, then here are some possible reasons why you can't send them a card.

They may be using an email account issued through their place of work, and the business itself blocks our cards. Another possibility may be that they do not have their email controls set to receive our cards. In either case, you should have the recipient contact the tech support staff at his or her place of work (if applicable), or the tech support at his or her Internet Service Provider, and ask how to change the mail blocking controls.

Why does it say "email address not valid!" when I am trying to send a card?
When inputting addresses into our cards, you must be sure to enter a complete email address (for example, thesmiths@home.com) and not just a name. Also, do not include quotes or brackets around the email address.

How can I add Greetinghub to my "Favourites" or "Bookmarks"?
AOL and Internet Explorer users: Go to the Greetinghub main page at www.greetinghub.com. Then click on "Favourites" at the top of your browser. Select "Add Favourite".

Netscape users: Go to the Greetinghub main page at www.greetinghub.com. Then click on "Bookmarks" at the top of your browser. Select "Add Bookmark".

WebTV users: Go to the Greetinghub main page at www.greetinghub.com. Then press "Options" on your WebTV keyboard or remote. Choose "Save", and choose a folder to save the address in. You will get a confirmation that you have saved it in your "Favourites". The next time you you want to come to our site, just go to "Favourites" and select Greetinghub.
